St Judes 0-14
Kilmacud Crokes 1-8

St Judes advanced to the semi-finals of the Dublin Senior Football Championship with a three point win over Kilmacud Crokes on Wednesday night. The Templeogue men led from the ninth minute, and even a second-half Pat Burke goal couldn't get Kilmacud back into the game.

Mark Vaughan opened up the scoring for Crokes with a free from just outside the forty-five yard line in the second minute. But Niall Coakley equalised for Judes sixty seconds later from a similar distance.

Kevin McManamon put Judes ahead for the first time as the game entered its ninth minute, and they were two up after Declan Donnelly swung over the first score from play in the eleventh minute. But it was stop start in those early stages.

Judes continued to look more dangerous, and further frees from McManamon and Donnelly had them four clear with ten minutes left of the first-half.

And the Templeogue club only got better as the half wore on. Points from play from Ross O'Brien, Seams Ryan, and a brilliant kick, off his left, from Coakley, put them into a five point half-time lead.

Crokes, for their part, had only scored one from play, via the boot of Callum Pearson, while kicking five attempts wide.

They brought on Cian O'Sullivan at the start of the second-half, but it took Paul Mannion a full ten minutes to register the first score of the second period. McManamon had Judes five ahead again within ninety seconds.

And they went six ahead before Crokes earned a lifeline. Mannion burst in from the left before setting up Pat Burke to fist the ball to the net with seventeen minutes left in the game.

Ross O'Brien was sent off for an off the ball incident, meaning Judes had ten minutes to defend a three point lead with fourteen men.

But the Pairc de Burca men couldn't get closer than two points, and Judes held on for a famous win.
